1816, Lake Geneva: rain kept Byron and his friends indoors, and he dared each of them to write a ghost story. Mary Shelley’s became Frankenstein. The introduction and her own 1831 account tell it.

With tracked shipping, each book usually arrives about 3 weeks after you order in the US and about 4 weeks in Canada.

- Do the three books come together in a case?
- No. They are three separate books in one matching design, each printed for your order and shipped in its own parcel.
- When do the books ship, and how long does delivery take?
- Each printed book ships within 14 days of your order, and each ebook is emailed within 5 days. Your confirmation email gives the exact dates for every book. - What is in each book?
- The text of the work and, around it, an introduction for today’s reader, a short reader’s note before every chapter, letter, story or poem, a who’s who and a glossary. Each book’s own page, linked above, lists its contents in full and lets you read a sample.
- Can I cancel, or get a refund?
- Yes. If a book might not ship within the time its format states, we email you first, and you can cancel that book for a full refund of its share. If a printed book arrives damaged or misprinted, or isn’t what this page describes, email us a photo up to 30 days after delivery for a refund or a replacement of that book.
