Terms of sale and use

These terms apply when you use bookhawkpress.com, our individual book websites, or buy from our store. Bookhawk Press is an imprint of Space Dog Tech LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("we", "us").
Our books
Each book's page describes what the edition contains. We work hard to make those descriptions accurate. If a book isn't as described, our refund policy applies.
Our editions include material we create, such as introductions, notes, corrections, illustrations, typesetting, designs and covers. That material is protected by copyright, and you may not reproduce it except as the law allows (for example, brief quotation in a review).
Older works
Some of our books were first written long ago and reflect the knowledge, practices and attitudes of their time. Instructions, medical or technical advice, and factual claims in original texts may be outdated, inaccurate or unsafe by modern standards. They are published as historical documents, not as current professional advice. Where we think it matters, we add notes saying so.
How our books are made
We use a combination of people and software tools, including artificial intelligence, in researching, editing, designing and illustrating our books and marketing materials.
Orders and pre-orders
Prices are in U.S. dollars and are shown before you pay, together with shipping and any applicable sales tax. Your order is confirmed when you receive our confirmation email. For pre-orders, we charge you when you order and ship on or before the date shown. If we can't, we'll offer you a full refund as described in our shipping policy. We may cancel and fully refund an order if a book can't be produced as described.
Ebooks
When you buy an ebook, you get a personal, non-transferable licence to download it and read it on your own devices. Please don't share or resell the files.
Our liability
We provide our websites and books "as is". To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version in effect when you place an order applies to that order.
